There’s a huge stigma around being sent on a ‘parenting course.’ It often feels like someone is pointing the finger. It can make you feel like your child’s behavior is a direct result of you ‘doing it wrong.’ But let me tell you something—Worley’s World is NOT about that.

A Positive Approach to Parenting

We don’t tell you what to change about your parenting. We don’t push rigid routines or rules. We don’t make you feel like a failure. Instead, we empower your unique parenting style. Our goal is to help you discover what works best for your family. Every family is different. The real magic happens when you learn to recognize emotions, build self-awareness, and create a space where feelings aren’t something to ‘fix’—they’re something to understand.

And the best part? It’s all done in a fun, playful way that doesn’t feel like yet another parenting course. We want you to enjoy the journey, not dread it.

The Importance of Emotions

Now, there’s a TikTok trend going around—5 things I wouldn’t do as a parenting coach. However, I like to do things my own way (hello, rainbow sheep of the internet). So, I’m focusing on just one aspect. This is the most important shift you can make.

I Would NEVER Tell My Child to Stop Crying or Stop Being Angry

At Worley’s World, we teach that all emotions are valid. Anger, sadness, frustration, excitement, jealousy—they all serve a purpose. Our brains use emotions to communicate with us. When we shut them down, we miss an opportunity to understand what’s really going on.

Instead of saying ‘Stop crying,’ you might try:

“I can see you’re really upset. Do you want to tell me about it?”

Instead of shouting ‘Calm down!’ say:

“Your angry monster is getting big—let’s figure out what it’s trying to tell us.”

Name and tame the emotion—that’s my motto! In Worley’s World, we use friendly emotion monsters to help make this easier. Let’s be honest, sometimes feelings can feel like a bit of a monster!

Want to Learn More?

In May, I’ll be running Be the Boss of Your Brain – For Grown-Ups. This 90-minute training is all about helping YOU become the superhero of your brain. When you understand your own emotions, it becomes so much easier to guide your child through theirs.

What You’ll Get

Here’s what you can expect from this empowering training:

  • Practical Strategies: You will leave with thought-provoking strategies that you can use straight away.

  • Fun Techniques: We incorporate engaging techniques that don't feel like ‘another parenting course.’

Conclusion: It’s Okay to Feel

At the end of the day, it’s okay to feel the feels. 💜 Embracing emotions instead of avoiding them fosters a healthier environment for both children and parents. Emotions are not something to fear, but a pathway to understanding ourselves and each other.

We invite you to join us on this journey of discovery and growth. Together, let's empower a generation of parents to connect with their children on a deeper level.

Now is your time to shine as a parent! Discover the unique strengths that you bring to the table. After all, your parenting journey is just that—yours.
